Today we got Duffy books we all got 2.We get them for free.My two books are called Ranger in time.and Wing of fire the poison Jungle.A big thank you to duffy for giving the school cool books for free.I am a book worm so I love to read.If the book does not have pitchers I will think what the pitchers would look like if they were there.

 

Eco trip

WALT:report about school trips

 Last Friday me and my class went to the dump.(I know that sounds yuk) but it was really fun. We learnt how to make compost,and held some worms they felt weird. 

Did you know that if the worms are in the sun or in the warmth the will die.we also got to make compost the smell was not very nice at all.

We learnt that you can put egg holders  in the green bin as long as the have no plastic on them.Make shore that you are putting only recicable things into the yellow bin because all the rubbish we use all the bad things in the rubbish goes into the air.

There was small groups to do different things like one we had to get all the worm poo from a bin and put it in the worm tub were all the worms are.One we made the beds and there bed is also there food.The last one we collected worm tea and put it into a watering can then put water into the same watering can and watered some plants.

Did you know that worms breath throw there skin.we had small white boards and had to tell what goes were in the compost bin.I hope you lernt some thing.do you have a compost bin at home?

Swimming in the deep

 WALT: swim safely in deep water.

For the past week and a half we have been doing swimming a QE2  in deep water. Yesterday we swam in 2 meter deep water we practise water safety like we were in the sea or a river.It was a lot of fun we had to have life jackets on.Because it was so deep we got to dive into the water or cannonball or pencil dive.I got my information form myself because I was doing the swimming.Do you like swimming?

 Today we had to do a draw and trace.I picked out a flower to do it was really easy to do and i was really fun to trace I made a few mistakes but I tried to make it look just like the picture .Here if the picture  from the internet:

WALT: See the difference between fair and equal.

Today we all got an injury they wore all different some had broken bones some had cuts and all above.My injury was a broken finger.Everyone got the same treatment a plaster which did not help my finger at all.Some people had cuts so that helped them.I dont think the treatment was fair because i needed a bandage for my broken finger.

  

Coming back to school

 

Today we had to get all the stuff that we need at school and come to school with it.

this pitcher is from last week so that is why i am not in my school unforme.

I started school last Thursday and got to see all my friends

I was so happy and we have a seating arrangement I get to sit with all my friends.

Emma Twigg came to my school. My class and I had a picture with an all time Olympic golden medallist Emma Twigg. I got her to sign a piece of paper for me it is so cool. I got to hold Emma's gold medal. Emma Twigg came to our school to share with us her experiences in Tokyo.She went on stage and we sang the  New Zealand anthem, Emma Twigg said to us I have not hear that song since I was on the Olympic podium in Tokyo. Emma told as about how she was going thinking of giving up on rowing in the Olympians. Some people got to ask questions.She even passed her metal around.

Emma Twigg, serial Olympian, advanced to the semi finals with a convincing win in the Quarter finals last Sunday in Tokyo.

She is a single sculler and has been a world champion in the last 10 years.

 

 

Emma Twigg rows A boat in the Olympics against some other people. She rows for NZ It stands for New Zealand. She has done the Olympics 4 times and she has made it to the semifinals three times. One time she came in forth by less than a second. She said to herself that she would not ever row A boat again but she saw every other racer and said it is an honour to have the silver fern on her chest.

60s&70s music

 This term we have been learning about 70s&60s music over the years.It has been a lot of fun,we have to search up songs from those decades.You have to search up two songs and  say the date that it was released and the year that it was made.One of the songs that I searched up the name of it is knock three times one of my dads fav songs.

 So on monday I was learning about the liturgy of the Eucharist the Liturgy of the Eucharist is were you get the bread and the wine from the priest.

My memories

 So today I decided that I would shear so pitchers with you because it brings back some memories for me so I hope you like the pitchers. The pitchers are about me with my short hair and one pitcher with my long hair.   

 

Circus

 Today another winter sport day because we do it every friday. Today at circus we did balls so we had to get on a small or big ball we gotta do both. So we had to get on them so you jump and you slid off with your hands behind your back. We got to practice juggling with someone called chris and we practised by throwing one up then caching it and then it keeps getting harder and harder. Today was so much fun the people who helped as were chris and lisa.     

Winter sports

 Today was winter sports. My winter sport is circus I started with the hops I did the Mermaid the Peter pan & the Bird. It was amazingly fun we played a game at the end the name is 21 with a ball.So you get a ball and you throw it and you hit it but if you hit it once you can not hit it strate after you just hit it.   

It was so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Refuge trip

 I went on a trip with the seniors in my school. It was A refuge trip were we were being homeless people for a 20 or more minutes. It was fun. We did hut making, we ate rice from our hands, we had to cross the bored with the people speaking A different language and cross a field full of bomes. here is A pitcher.

Sea Turtles

 Intro: This writing is about how Sea turtles grow and form.   

Stage 1: the adult turtles lay their eggs in the sand.  The baby Sea turtles hatch from the eggs. Then the baby Sea turtles try to get to the water, on their way to the water crabs and seagulls try to eat them. Only 400 make it to the water.

Stage 2:  As they make their  way to the water a big wave pulls them into the water and then they find a clump of seaweed to sleep under.

Stage 3: Now the sea turtles have to grow up in the water without dying due to pollution, like oil spills, or predators eating them.  Not many of the sea turtles survive and grow to adults.

Conclusion I found that learning about sea turtles has been very interesting and I have learned a lot about how they grow.
