hyperboles

WALT: use hyperboles in our writing

When I woke up I was as hungry as A hippo.

When I sat down watching A movie I was as bored as someone waiting for the ads to finish.

After I had breakfast I was full like I had eaten A hole chicken.

Then when I started school I was as happy as someone just as it was the weekend. 😊

  1. Hi Izzy
You have you have made a good attempt at writing hyperboles, sometime it's hard to decide whether it's a simile or a hyperbole. For example when you said 'I was as hungry as a hippo' this is a simile, next time you could say 'I'm so hungry I could eat a hippo' this would be a hyperbole. Well done on giving it a go. Do you think you could google same examples of hyperbole to help you?
